Manolo - Psalms 34

Kenyan worship leader and songwriter Manolo has released "Psalms 34," a stirring live worship single that transforms a spontaneous moment of spiritual breakthrough into a powerful anthem of freedom from shame. The track is the third release from his highly anticipated upcoming album, NYUMBANI, and is available now on all major streaming platforms with an official live recording video on YouTube.

"Psalms 34" was not crafted in a studio—it was born in real time. During an Instagram Live worship session, Manolo and his community began singing scripture together. What started as a simple act of devotion quickly revealed itself as something far more profound. "We were singing scripture and without knowing it, we found a weapon against shame," Manolo shares. "That moment became a song. That song became a recording. And now, it becomes yours." The song's foundation rests on the promise at the heart of Psalm 34:5—"Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." In a world where shame often silences and isolates, "Psalms 34" stands as a defiant declaration of identity, worth, and the liberating gaze of God.

The official live recording captures the raw, unfiltered energy of corporate worship at Hope Church Lavington in Nairobi, Kenya. Every vocal run, every instrumental swell, and every spontaneous response from the congregation is preserved—inviting listeners into the same sacred space where the song first took shape. The recording features an exceptional team of musicians and vocalists under the musical direction of Steve Mwanzia (Keys) and vocal direction of Irma Isichi (Alto), with a full live band including lead guitarist Mark Mula, bassist Bonnie Bosire, and drummer Dante Karisa. The production was handled by Shakhan Music for audio recording, mixing, and mastering, with video direction by Eyan Mwaura of Filmzikii.

"Psalms 34" follows two previous singles as part of Manolo's upcoming album NYUMBANI (Swahili for "Home"). The project represents a deepening of Manolo's artistic and spiritual vision—creating music that doesn't just sound beautiful, but functions as a spiritual home for listeners seeking refuge, restoration, and reconnection with God.
